Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS)
Challenge
DCFS is committed to acting in the best interest of every child it serves and to helping families by increasing their ability to provide a safe environment for their children and by strengthening families who are at risk of abuse or neglect.
DCFS was seeking to improve the look of their site, organize content and make sure their site was more user friendly.
Role
Developed a strategy for reaching its target audience through a series of brainstorming sessions. Developed a collaborative redesign and restructuring approach that ensured DCFS's mission was clearly articulated.
Results
The site loads quickly and displayed a clean and colorful new design. Each of the main categories had a unique color scheme to assist the user to more easily locate content. A breadcrumb trail was also added to ensure users know where they are at any time.
