Prototyping
Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS)
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Office of Unemployment Compensation, Bureau of Unemployment Compensation Tax (UC Tax) administers the tax and wage record provisions of the Ohio Unemployment Compensation Law. UC Tax serves approximately 232,000 active Ohio employers and processes $750 million of tax revenues per year.
UC Tax wanted to implement a modernized system for processing unemployment compensation taxes to effectively and efficiently accept reporting, bill employers, accept payments and process refunds, collect monies due, track employer records, assure employer compliance with the law, and provide customer support to assist employers in meeting their legal obligations. The client was seeking to create a working prototype for seven different scenarios.
My task was to take wireframes and construct working HTML prototypes for seven different scenarios. In all scenarios, I was told to assume that the user had already logged into the system. I utilized Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Macromedia Dreamweaver to design and develop prototypes for seven different concepts. Here are scenarios #2 and #6.
Scenario #2:
File a Quarterly Wage Report Return
Scenario #6
File Current Quarterly report for multiple employers
